My journey with football started when I was 8 years old, attending Severn Junior School in Cardiff, Wales. From 1987 until the millennium, football was everything to me. Me and my friends in school spent our breaks debating the form of Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United, and Liverpool, and as soon as school was out, we’d rush to our school ground to play.
One of my most cherished memories is being selected as a defender for the school’s main team by our head coach, Mr. Griffiths. I’ll never forget the thrill of seeing my name on the squad list for an inter-school tournament. The pride I felt when I received our red team jersey, sponsored by "Woolworths" with the number 5 on it, is something I carry with me to this day.
Fast forward 30 years, and my love for football is as strong as ever. I’m still a die-hard Manchester United fan, even through their tough times.
Football has evolved into more than just a game for me; it’s a way to stay active, connect with others, and build lasting relationships through the corporate football scene.
Football has always had a special place in my life. It’s a game that unites people, transcending backgrounds and cultures. Whether I’m on the field or cheering from the stands, football continues to bring joy and inspiration into my life.
